About the extension
The ZweiPunkt Sidebar Banner shows up to five promotional banners in the sidebar of the Shopware Shopping Experiences. This lets you fill the sidebar with promotions, notices or linked images, all without coding. The banners appear wherever a layout with a sidebar is used, such as on category or content pages.
Up to five banners with image and link
For each of the five banners you assign an image from the media manager, an ALT text and, if needed, a link. The link opens either in the same or in a new window. Each banner can be toggled individually, so only the banners you want are visible in the shop.

Fine tuning via CSS
For every banner you can add custom CSS properties that are applied directly to the image. This way you adjust spacing, size or borders per banner individually, without touching the theme code.

Configuration guide
Installation
Upload the plugin in the Shopware admin under Extensions > My extensions or install it from the store. Then activate the extension using the toggle in the overview.
Setting up the banners
- In the admin, open the extension configuration via the three-dot menu next to the plugin.
- If you want to manage the banners per channel, select the desired sales channel at the top.
- Make sure the Activate plugin for this store toggle is enabled.
- For each banner you want to use, enable the Show banner toggle and fill in the content.
Configuring a banner
- Image: Select an image from the media manager per banner. Only enabled banners with an image are shown in the storefront.
- ALT text: Add a descriptive ALT text for accessibility and search engines.
- Link: Optionally enter a target URL and decide whether the link opens in a new window.
- CSS properties: If needed, add custom CSS properties that are applied directly to the banner image.
Showing the sidebar
The banners appear in the sidebar section of the Shopping Experiences. Use a layout that contains a sidebar for the desired page so the banners become visible. Shopware ships the layout Default listing layout with sidebar for this. You assign it to the desired category under Catalogues > Categories in the Layout tab.
