Gross price at the state tax rate

Overview

Description

Keep your net price consistent even when tax rates vary from country to country, thereby protecting your margin on cross-border sales. With ‘Gross Price Based on Country Tax Rate’ for Shopware 6 , the gross price is automatically adjusted to the tax rate of the delivery country, whilst the net price remains unchanged. This applies to both products and delivery charges.

Consistent net prices across different tax rates

By default, Shopware keeps the gross price constant when tax rates vary between countries, thereby adjusting the net proceeds. This plugin reverses this calculation: as soon as the delivery country is confirmed at checkout, the gross price is recalculated based on the tax rate specified for that country. This ensures your net proceeds remain stable even with higher tax rates.

Your benefits

  • A constant net price regardless of the delivery country’s tax rate
  • Automatic adjustment of gross prices at checkout
  • Protection of your margin when selling to countries with higher tax rates
  • Accounts for product and delivery prices
  • Use of the country tax rates already maintained in Shopware
  • No external tax database or additional web service required
  • No need to maintain tax rates in two places
  • Net customer groups and tax-exempt deliveries remain unchanged
  • Can be activated individually for each sales channel

Automatic calculation with no additional maintenance required

The plugin operates entirely in the background and utilises the existing Shopware tax logic. You continue to maintain country tax rates in Shopware as usual. If there is no corresponding tax rule for a delivery country, Shopware continues to use its default behaviour.
