Guide: How to set up a StageWare® test environment in Shopware 6

In this section, I’ll show you how to use StageWare® in your shop.

• Step 1: Install the plugin and activate it via the ‘Extensions’ > ‘My Extensions’ menu option. You will then also find the ‘StageWare Manager’ option under ‘Extensions’.
• Step 2: Now open StageWare Manager. On the dashboard, you’ll see an overview of the profiles you’ve already created. Click on ‘Create new test environment’ in the top right-hand corner.
• Step 3: A window will now open, allowing you to create a test environment. Here, you can give the test environment a name. You can add comments under ‘Comments and notes’.
• Step 4: Populate the test environment with your data. To do this, first enter your desired destination folder. You can also exclude specific folders if you do not wish to replicate the entire shop.
• Step 5: Next, you will need to enter the database details. You can obtain this information from your hosting provider. To do this, a new, empty database must be created with your hosting provider. Please do not use the details for your live shop!
• Step 6: Now that you have entered the data, click on ‘Save test environment’. Next, click on the ‘Synchronise test environment’ button, which appears at the top once you have saved. This will synchronise the data and the database. Depending on the size of the database, this process may take a few minutes.
• Step 7: Once the synchronisation is complete, your test environment will be ready for use. You can then access it via the base URL/target folder name. It works in exactly the same way as your live shop. External service providers can also use your test environment.
