B2B Access Management

Overview

Description

Control precisely which customers can view prices, place orders or even access your shop. With B2B Access Management for Shopware 6 , you can transform your shop into a secure B2B area and flexibly manage price authorisations, checkout access and registration via customer groups.

Control prices, shop access and registration precisely

You determine which customer groups are permitted to view prices and place orders. For other visitors, you can hide prices or block access to the entire shop. Private and business customers can be managed via separate registration processes. New accounts can be automatically assigned to a customer group, initially deactivated or flagged for manual approval. Business customers can also upload proof of business registration during the registration process.

Your benefits

  • Display prices only to selected customer groups
  • Enable checkout specifically for certain customers
  • Protect the entire shop from unauthorised visitors
  • Separate registration for private and business customers
  • Automatic customer group assignment or manual authorisation
  • Optional document upload during B2B registration
  • Create time-limited direct access links
  • Mark products as ‘Price on request’
  • Dedicated B2B login and registration sections for experience zones

Ideal for closed B2B shops

Whether it’s a wholesale business, a dealer portal or an exclusive business-to-business shop: with B2B Access Management, you can precisely determine which content and functions your different customer groups are permitted to use. This allows you to map out individual approval processes directly within Shopware and retain control over prices, orders and access.

Configuration guide

Prerequisites

For the registration workflows to take effect, the account type selection must be enabled in the shop. Go to Settings > Shop > Login & Registration and tick the box for ‘Show choice between business and customer accounts’. Only then can private and business customers be distinguished during registration.

Also, under Settings > Customer Groups , create the customer groups you wish to work with — typically one group for approved merchants and one for accounts still awaiting approval.

No additional Shopware components are required. The plugin works exclusively with the standard customer groups and the standard registration process in Shopware 6.

Installation

Upload the plugin in the Shopware admin panel under Extensions > My Extensions or install it from the Store. Then click on Install and subsequently on Activate. The required additional fields are created automatically during installation.

Configuration

Open the settings via Extensions > My Extensions and the three-dot menu next to the plugin. The configuration is divided into several sections:

  • Registration: Private individuals / Businesses: For each customer type, specify which customer group new accounts are assigned to, whether activation is required, and whether the account remains deactivated initially.
  • Settings: Specify which customer groups can view prices, what replaces hidden prices, for which customer groups the checkout and shop are enabled, which paths are excluded, and which page sections are hidden via CSS selectors.
  • Registration: Upload document: Enable the upload form, specify a CC address and the permitted file types.
  • Link generation for direct access: Set an expiry date and generate the direct access link, which you can then copy.

Important note on price visibility: Visibility applies per customer group and not per login status. A logged-in customer will only see prices if their customer group is listed under ‘Show prices only to registered users of the following customer groups ’. If you also want private customers to see prices, enter their customer group as well. If the field is left blank, all visitors will see the prices.

Setting up the storefront

The Shopping Experiences editor provides dedicated elements and blocks for B2B login and B2B registration for the login and registration forms. Insert them on the desired page to display the forms in the storefront.

Document upload during registration

The uploaded document is attached to the registration email and a copy is also sent to the specified CC address. This requires email dispatch to be set up in the shop, as the file is only transferred when the registration email is sent.

Products with ‘Price on request’

In the product settings, under the additional fields, tick the ‘Price on request’ box so that the product is displayed with a ‘Request’ option rather than a price. The ‘Request’ option appears for logged-in customers who are not yet members of the customer group specified under ‘Permitted customer groups for prices on request ’.

Notifications for enquiries

If a customer submits a request to join a customer group, the plugin triggers the ‘Customer Group Request’ trigger. In the Flow Builder, under Settings > Flow Builder , create a flow using this trigger to be notified of new requests by email. You can view the requested customer group in the admin panel under ‘Customers’ and approve it there.
